■ Lace-up Type: This type was devised to facilitate the putting on and taking off of flight boots in emergencies. This style, which quickly tightens and loosens the shoelaces threaded through the semicircular metal fittings (see image), is generally called speed lace.

There is almost no wear on the soles, and there is no sign of use or dirt on the insoles.
