KINTSUGI: Japanese for "repaired with gold", an ancient technique that celebrates objects that have been broken by repairing the cracks with gold. Imperfection is beautiful, and mending is transformative! This gemstone heart has been mended to declare "You are more beautiful for having been broken." A beautiful smaller 5/8" (15mm) smooth kintsukuroi "mended heart" white howlite pendant has been simply hung on a silky soft yet unbreakable silk-like cord. This stone is sometimes called "Buffalo Turquoise" which is a misnomer (it's actually white howlite!) and feels smooth and cool against the skin. Mended with epoxy, gold dust, and 23k gold leaf--NOT paint. This repaired heart proudly symbolizes transformation, strength and beauty in imperfection.PENDANT: White Howlite, sometimes called "Buffalo Turquoise" although it's another mineral--Howlite. The heart is about 5/8" long and wide and is 5/16" (9mm) thick. It is a beautiful creamy white color, with nice brown matrix within the stone. Mended on both sides as shown. Smooth, puffy and polished. White Howlite symbolizes emotional balance, peace, harmony, and love. CORD: Unbreakable, silky nylon cord in any length or color you choose.
